March 21, 2008  Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail.  No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

 

March 21, 2008   Disc Frisbee Golf  - The public is invited to get out and compete in this exciting sport that's relaxing and easy to learn. Location: Huntington Beach Disc Golf Course, Central Park lot off Golden West Street between Talbert and Ellis. Time: Daily. Call: (714) 425-9931.

 

March 21, 2008  Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire Held weekly on Friday  from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held most Fridays at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a certified Farmer's Market sells the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and perishables. The Art Fair held in conjunction with the Farmer's Market features over 50 vendors selling unique, hand made gifts and crafts. Call: (714) 536-2213 or (714) 846-5509. March 21, 2008   Art - Windows Gallery in Huntington Beach Central Library on the first floor features works from amateur and professional artists with varied themes that range from landscapes to abstracts. This mixed media exhibit is free to see. Location: 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach, CA. 

 

March 21, 2008  Shipley Nature Center - Open to the public, it includes an interpretive center with educational exhibits, nature trails for wildlife viewing and native gardens. Shipley Nature Center is an 18-acre natural area open daily M-Sat 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Phone: 714-842-4772
