August 22, 2009 Anniejr., Musical. Plays, concerts and musicals are back at the Huntington Beach High School Theater which has undergone a facelift and is now open. Enjoy Annie, featuring Orange County Children’s Theatre. There will be eight performances of Annie beginning, Friday, August 14 and concluding on Sunday, August 23. Performances are on Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday afternoons at 2:30 p.m.; Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for Annie range in price from $12 to $14 and can be purchased online at occt.org, or at the door. August 22, 2009 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
