December 20, 2009 Bolsa Chica Wetlands and Mesa Tour. Free tour meets the third Sunday of every month. This is a two-hour walking tour of the Bolsa Chica Mesa and Wetlands conducted by the Bolsa Chica Land Trust. This docent-led tour makes five stops along the walkbridge and loop trails of the wetlands. Meet in the Ecological Reserve parking lot. Warm clothing, comfortable shoes and binoculars are recommended. Time: 10 a.m. to Noon. Cost: Free. December 20, 2009 Snowflakes light up the Huntington Beach Pier and Main Street through New Year's Day. Approximately 84 artificial snowflakes strewn with twinkling lights adorn light downtown Huntington Beach. They are a delight to see. There are 48 on the pier and 36 stretching along Main Street from Pacific Coast Highway to Orange Avenue. Traditionally placed along Main Street and the Huntington Beach Pier, they are truly beautiful displays of holiday spirit in Huntington Beach. Watch the twinkling lights reflect on the Pacific Ocean waters below.

Fire rings are located north of the Huntington Beach Pier at Bolsa Chica State Beach on Pacific Coast Highway (between Warner Ave. & Seapoint St.) and south of the Huntington Beach Pier on PCH between 1st Street and Beach Blvd. at Huntington City Beach or between Beach Blvd. & Brookhurst Street at Huntington State Beach. December 20, 2009 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open during daylight hours.

December 20, 2009 HB's 100 YEARS Art Exhibit - Anderson Art Gallery celebrates the 100th Birthday of Huntington Beach in a special gallery exhibit from Huntington Beach artist and gallery owner, Bill Anderson of Anderson Art Gallery. You are invited to the gallery to participate and view the exhibit and look at images from the 1960's through current times. Working in a variety of media, Anderson's works include linoleum block prints, water colors, oil paintings and drawings.
