March 13, 2009 Surf City Splash. The Surf City Rotary Club of Huntington Beach is holding their 2nd Annual Benefit Dinner & Auction at the Huntington Beach Resort & Spa on March 13, 2009. The event will include a silent and voice auction, dinner, and entertainment. It will be the second of three events slated to raise $100,000 pledged to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley’s, Building Dreams Campaign to build California’s 1st Boys & Girls Club on a College Campus. Rugs in the shape of surfboards, surf themed wall decor and planter boxes, household gifts, original art and body products are usually featured by vendors selling their creations at this weekly event held at Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier.
