October 1, 2010 Farmer's Market and Arts & Crafts - Buy certified California grown produce and shop for hand-made one-of-a-kind jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings. Rugs in the shape of surfboards, surf themed wall decor and planter boxes, household gifts, original art and body products are usually featured by vendors selling their creations at this weekly event held at Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier. Time: Noon to 5 p.m. Cost: Free admission. Location: Pacific Coast Highway at Main Street adjacent to pier and city beach 6th Street parking lot, Huntington Beach, CA.

Imaging China: Contemporary Photographs from Commercial and Find Artists - at the Fine Arts Gallery, Golden West College. Show runs September 16 – October 13. October 1, 2010 Oktoberfest. Old World Village Oktoberfest is an annual tradition for decades. The 34th annual event includes German bands, dancing and tasty German foods from bratwürst with sauerkraut to apple strudel. Oktoberfest offers family-fun days and adults-only nights. October 1, 2010 Squeezebox Band - at Nadine's Irish Mist Nadine's Irish Mist, Time: 9 pm. Nadine's Irish Mist, 16655 Pacific Coast Highway, Sunset Beach, CA, NO COVER, 21+ 2010 Plein Air Festival - The annual Plein Air Festival is an invitation-only event that brings exceptional Plein Air artists together for an outdoor painting competition in scenic Huntington Beach. Painting in the Streets allows the public to view artists at work while they paint on Main Street and at The Strand in downtown Huntington Beach. The resulting artwork will be on display at the Huntington Beach Art Center from September 25 to October 10.
