August 6, 2011 US Open of Surfing Through Aug. 7, 2011 - Huntington Beach's biggest sporting event of the year is held at City Beach, and includes world class surfing, extreme sports action, and great, free concerts.

Seussical, musical. Based on the books of Dr. Seuss, the primary plot centers on Horton the elephant's endeavors to protect the people of Who-ville, who live on a tiny speck of dust. Featuring characters and scenarios from many other Seuss books, familar story lines from Butter Side Uppers / Downers of The Butter Battle Book and Gertrude McFuzz, The Cat in the Hat acts as narrator briefly leaping into the action on several occasions to create conflict and keep the story moving.
