August 6 Adventure Playground - Offers old-fashioned fun for kids ages 6 - 12. Build a fort with lumber, ride a raft on the pond, jump in the mud, navigate a rope bridge, and learn how to play in nature. Children must wear tennis shoes and be prepared to get dirty. August 6 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to visit Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, a significant flyway for migrating birds. Binoculars recommended. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. 1.5 mile loop trail and 300 acres of protected wetlands!
