August 6  Adventure Playground - Offers old-fashioned fun for kids ages 6 - 12. Build a fort with lumber, ride a raft on the pond, jump in the mud, navigate a rope bridge, and learn how to play in nature.  Children must wear tennis shoes and be prepared to get dirty. August 6  Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to visit Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, a significant flyway for migrating birds. Binoculars recommended. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. 1.5 mile loop trail and 300 acres of protected wetlands!  Pets and bicycles are not permitted on the trails.
