November 30 Cocktail For A Cause. Donations, at the night of the event, to any of the seven organizations will provide admission. There will be cocktails, hors d’ouevres, dancing, and live entertainment. An event started as a charity project a student was required to submit for a private educational course. It has blossomed into a major event helping fill the toy banks and supply chests of needy non-profit organizations. The charities at this event include: • A Blanket of Love Goal - collect over 600 blankets, new or good condition, for shelters. Shoes of Hope Goal - collect 300 pairs of shoes all sizes, new or good condition, for the Emmanuel Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. Memorial-Miller Children’s Hospital Goal - collect new unwrapped toys for this hospital that provides care to high risk children. Kids’ Global Outreach Goal - collect clothing for children afflicted with AIDS living in Kambiri, west of Nairobi, Kenya. Long Beach Women’s shelter Goal - collect womens clothing to help women transition back into society. Catholic Workers Isaiah House Goal - collect mens clothing and brand new mens crew socks to distribute to this shelter. Orangewood Childrens Foundation Goal - raise money for children from 0-18 yrs who are victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment. Donations applied towards scholarships & educational programs ($6000 sponsors one child’s college education for a full year). The first 200 people to arrive at this cocktail event will receive 1 complimentary cocktail coupon and a raffle ticket. Time: 6:30pm - 12:00am. November 30 Band - Old No. 7 at Perqs. Location: 117 Main St., Huntington Beach, CA 92648. Call: (714) 960-9996. 21+, HB's only "strictly bar." Once a brothel, Perqs is the oldest pub in town and as such, is not required to serve food. Open daily, half a block from the beach.

November 30 Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire Held weekly on Friday from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) The certified Farmer's Market sells the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and perishables. November 30 Blackies Bicycles for Baja Fundraiser - Do you have old bicycles and kids' sports equipment such as volley, basket and soccer balls that are in good condition order? From now till early December you can donate them to the HB Longboard Crew nonprofit organization. November 30 Holiday Drop 'N' Shop. Kids can be taken to American Tiger Martial Arts and Fitness center located at 5489 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA, to allow parents to run errands and shop for Christmas. Activities include games, crafts, building forts and campfire songs. A snack will be provided, plus a pro pass good for a martial arts uniform and complimentary month of classes.
