September 1, 2012 Annual Civil War Days held Sept. 1 & 2, 2012 is sponsored by Huntington Beach Historical Society. It includes around 1,000 re-enactors in Civil War era costumes, vendors selling unique items, and food you can purchase. 2 battles per day -1:30 & 4 p.m. on Saturday, are included with canon fire. September 1 Amigos de Bolsa Chica Tours - The Amigos de Bolsa Chica offers free public tours of the Bolsa Chica wetlands in Huntington Beach. Meet on the bridge at the parking lot on PCH and take a 1.5 mile guided walk at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. The guides will point out the common plants, animals and birds, discuss wetlands conservation, endangered species and related topics.
