September 30, 2005    Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire Held weekly on Friday  from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held most Fridays at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a certified Farmer's Market sells the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and perishables. September 30, 2005   Oktoberfest at Old World Village. Get out your lederhosen and learn the Chicken Dance at Oktoberfest in Huntington Beach. The event includes entertainment with German bands, dancing and tasty German foods. A variety of German and assorted beers on tap are sold as well as mixed drinks and liqueurs in shot glasses sold by "shot girls" wearing dirndl skirts. September 30, 2005 Surfing - Toes On the Nose Longboard Surfing Competition - The Toes On the Nose Longboard Surfing event is comprised of two competitions, the Mens Pro Open and the Womens World Championship. You can view the event from the beach or the pier. Toes On the Nose Longboard Surfing Competition will take place at Huntington City Beach South of the Huntington Beach Pier at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street. September 30, 2005 Poetry Readings - Tebot Bach (Welsh for little teapot) features Ricki Mandeville and Christopher Buckley. Tebot Bach is a poetry club sharing the love of poetry through reading, workshops and lecture presentations with book signings.
