Newport Beach Repertory Theater presents its 12th year of staging the
holiday classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” written by James Rogers and based
on the film starring Jimmy Stewart and directed by Robert Michael Conrad.

discovers, with the help of an angel, that he indeed has a wonderful life.

Main Street Holiday Celebration and Pier Lighting
Ceremony at Huntington Beach Pier. Join the festivities at Light a Light of
Love - a Holiday Pier lighting and Main Street Snowflake Lighting and parade
in downtown Huntington Beach. This children's holiday parade will include
Santa and Mrs. Claus! Live musical performances and hot cocoa and cookies
available for a small donation. The annual Main Street Holiday Celebration,
now enjoying its tenth anniversary, comes to downtown Huntington Beach on
Sunday, December 3, 2006 from 2-7 p.m. Beginning at 3 p.m., local
restaurants will open their doors for "A Taste of Main Street," featuring
specialty soups, chowders and desserts, as well as a raffle for prizes. The
popular children's parade begins at 4:30 p.m. at Orange Street and heads
toward the pier. The parade stars Surf City Santa Claus and his wife, Mrs.
Claus; Dave Sullivan, the Mayor of Huntington Beach; Miss Huntington Beach
and her court; cars from the Southern California Woodie Club; local Brownie,
Cub Scout and Camp Fire Troops; Polynesian dancers; and a group of Bernese
Mountain dogs specially tricked out for the holidays. "Light a Light of
Love," the pier lighting ceremony, is kicked off at 4:45 p.m. by the popular
local band the Slaw Dawgs, who will perform live at Pier Plaza, followed by
the professional children's performing arts company, the Orange County Song
and Dance Company. At 6 p.m., the pier, decorated with illuminated
snowflakes, will light up to the delight of the 3,000 visitors expected to
attend. The snowflakes are sponsored by local merchants and other
businesses, with all proceeds benefiting the CSP Huntington Beach Youth
