September 8, 2007 “The Nutcracker” Audition - Open to Male & Female Ballet Dancers Ages 9 and over – All levels. Coast City Ballet, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, will hold open auditions for ballet dancers of all levels and ages for a full-length, traditional version of The Nutcracker Ballet. Coast City Ballet engages Guest Artists in lead roles while providing opportunities for semi and pre-professional dancers to perform in a professional environment. September 8, 2007 - 5K/2K Walk for the Animals. The Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OCSPCA) with presenting sponsor Ralphs is proud to announce the 10th Annual 5K/2K Walk for the Animals, Saturday, September 8 at 9:00am in Central Park East, Goldenwest Street, Huntington Beach. Well-mannered dogs, on leashes, are encouraged to attend. No puppies under six months. Activities following the walk include entertainment; sponsor and vendor booths; silent auction and door prizes. All funds raised from the Walk help support the organization’s programs including veterinary care for sick and injured animals; subsidized spay/neuter, feral cat rescue; cruelty prevention through humane education in the classroom; and pet-assisted therapy. Registration is $20.00 before September 1st and $25.00 thereafter. Kids 12 years and under, free. Teams of five or more pay $15.00 each if pre-registered by September 1st.
