September 26, 2009 Nitty Gritty Dirt Band -Golden Bear Reunion. at the Hilton Waterfront will feature this classic band famous for songs such as Mr. Bojangles. Talk about timing! Their new release, Speed of Life, will be out on Sept. 22 and to date, this is the first stop on the tour after that album release. This event is being held to celebrate the 100 year reunion of Huntington Beach's formation, and remembrance of the Golden Bear music venue where this very band performed decades ago.

This free tour offers invites you, the public to join the docents at the south lot of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, across the street from the main entrance to Bolsa Chica State Beach. Docents are stationed on or near the footbridge entrance to the restored Bolsa Chica wetlands. Tours begin every 15 minutes and five areas of interest are included in the presentation: history, birds, endangered species, ecology and restoration. This free tour is on a first come, first served basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for vacationers, students, small groups and local citizens to visit our valuable resource. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
