December 4, 2011 Light a Light of Love Holiday Parade. This annual events features a small parade filled with community spirit and love. The participants include youth groups, a band, several classic cars and Santa and Mrs. Santa Claus on the Huntington Beach Fire Engine. They finish the parade, which crosses Pacific Coast Highway for a youth show with singing, dancing, and pictures with Santa Claus for youngsters. Proceeds benefit Huntington Beach Youth Shelter.

Reggae on the Beach - Don the Beachcomber is proud to play host to a new series of Reggae Shows featuring Fully Fullwood, joined by talented musicians who are noted in this genre and those that are on the rise! Some of these musicians have played with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Kenny Loggins, Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper, Dennis Brown and Joe Higgs to name just a few. 3-6 p.m. and Tickets are $5 each at the door! Beach Bonfire - You must bring your own fire wood to the beach for a beach bonfire. Fire rings are located north of the Huntington Beach Pier at Bolsa Chica Warner Ave. & Seapoint St.) and south of the Huntington Beach Pier on PCH between 1st Street and Beach Blvd. at Huntington between Beach Blvd. & Brookhurst Street at Huntington State Beach. Cost: Free, first come-first serve.

Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open during daylight hours.

Disc Frisbee Golf - The public is invited to get out and compete in this exciting sport that's relaxing and easy to learn. Location: Huntington Beach Disc Golf Course, Central Park lot off Golden West Street between Talbert and Ellis. Time: Daily. Call: (714) 425-9931.
