curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of
the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars
to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific
Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway.
Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes
permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Snowflakes light
up the Huntington Beach Pier and Main Street through New
Year's Day. Dozens of artificial snowflakes strewn with twinkling lights
adorn light downtown Huntington Beach. They are a delight to see. There are
on the pier and stretch along Main Street from Pacific Coast Highway to
Orange Avenue. Traditionally placed along Main Street and the Huntington
Beach Pier, they are truly beautiful displays of holiday spirit in
Huntington Beach. Watch the twinkling lights reflect on the Pacific Ocean
waters below.
