December 4, 2005 - Main Street Holiday Celebration on Sunday  from 2 – 7 p.m. Downtown Huntington Beach Business Association and the Huntington Beach Restaurant Association will jointly host a new event, the Main Street Holiday Celebration. Ideal for shoppers seeking gifts and those hoping to share in the holiday spirit, join the festivities at Downtown Huntington Beach. Light a Light of Love, a Holiday Pier lighting and parade in downtown Huntington Beach will feature Santa Claus riding a fire truck! At the Pier there will be live musical performances and food sampling of hot clam chowder, beverages and desserts for a small donation to benefit local youth programs. December 4, 2005   Surfing - National Scholastic Surfing Association NSSA 2005/2006 Southwest Conference Open Season Students Only. This AA rated 2-day event is contest #5. It runs from December 3 to 4. It will be held at Seaside Reef at Cardiff by the Sea. It is open to students only (age as of 1/1/06) mens 16 and up; juniors 13 to 15 years; boys 12 and under; mini groms 10 and under; longboard all ages; womens all ages. December 4, 2005  Bikes to Baja Fundraiser - Do you have an old bike? The Huntington Beach Longboard Club is accepting donations of old (or new) bikes for children in Mexico. This popular event held in memory of famed surfer Blackie August culminates first in a Huntington Beach Surfing Museum Concert (TBD) and then a trip to Baja Mexico where the refurbished are given to children without bicycles.
