September 23, 2012 - 7th Annual chefs for Scholarships. Golden West College presents Chefs for Scholarships, a family festival of food and fun. Taste specialties from local restaurants, wineries and breweries and enjoy entertainment for the whole family. Proceeds support student scholarships. Location: Golden West College Student Center, 15744 Goldenwest Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. Cost to Attend: $40 adults, $20 Students, Children 12 & under Free. September 23 Oktoberfest at Old World Village. Get out your lederhosen and learn the Chicken Dance at Oktoberfest in Huntington Beach. The event includes entertainment with German bands, dancing and tasty German foods. A variety of German and assorted beers on tap are sold as well as mixed drinks and liqueurs in shot glasses sold by "shot girls" wearing dirndl skirts. Meet Dodo the Chicken and learn more about the Chicken Dance. Jump in the Moon Bunce, Play Carnival Games, Pace Painting and old-fashioned fun.
