The Diary of Anne Frank, April 18-20, 2013 . An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence. Adaptation from the original stage play by Goodrich and Hackett, the newly discovered writings from the diary of Anne Frank, as well as survivor accounts, are interwoven to create a contemporary impassioned story of the lives of people persecuted under Nazi rule. By Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman, event takes place at Huntington Beach High School Historic Theater, 1905 Main St., Tickets: $22 adults, $16 students and seniors. Ragnar Relay - Huntington Beach to Embarcadero Marina Park South in San Diego. This is a coastal relay with teams traveling through Southern California. The home base hotel is Newport Beach Hyatt Regency in Orange County, or Hard Rock Hotel in Gaslamp San Diego. 6 or 12 person teams compete for special causes, running through the day and night with van driver exchanging relay participant runners. The starting line begins at Huntington State Beach north of Beach Blvd. Leg 1 goes up the Santa Ana River Trail to Centennial Park in Santa Ana. The race goes through Anaheim, Orange, Yorba Linda, Corona, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Fallbrook, Escondido, San Marcos, then back to the beach at Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach and San Diego.
