Wet Electric Rave: Held at Huntington State Beach, this one day event includes water slides, cabanas, dancing to DJs all day and into the dark, and private, gated area. The event announced that they didn't get their alcohol permit, so cocktails and liquor WILL NOT be served. 21+, tickets: wet-electric.com

Sunset Beach Chili Cookoff- Dance to Party Jones Band, taste some smokin' hot chili recipes, then vote for your favorite. Robby Armstrong emcees the annual party.

Fall Festival, September 14 & 15, 2013. Ballet Repertory Theatre. Annual event under direction of Anthony & Terri Sellars includes variety dance ranging from Spanish Paquita to a spirited rendition of the Wizard of Oz. Location: Golden West College Mainstage Theatre, Huntington Beach, CA.

Art & Music Festival - at Schooner at Sunset (former Harpoon Harry's). New event includes music by Phunkle and Outer Wave, plus artists Seth Matson, Bob Towner, Dave Hobrecht, Marco Almera, Ross Fletcher, Nathan Ledyard, Rick Blake, Sheri DiPietro, Bobby Zee, Tommy Tear, Bobby Baker, Chad Masri, Steev Marino, Roy Gonzalez, Jose Cerada. Surf City DaysSeptember 14 -15, 2013. Combination of the annual City Surfing Contest (open to residents,) annual Green Expo sponsored by the City of HB and Chamber of Commerce, and a re-worked Surf City Days sponsored by the Huntington Beach Downtown Business Improvement District (HBDBID), the event includes street closure on Main Street similar to Surf City Nights, plus beach competitions in Stand Up Paddle (SUP), volleyball and sandcastle building, in a sports oriented beach day, plus eco-conscious themes integrated. Actor Ed Begley, Jr., a longtime electric car driver and champion of ecology causes, is being hosted at a breakfast at the Shorebreak Hotel on Saturday.
